The XP Aqua Duetto 2 ATO is an advanced, compact automatic top-off system designed to deliver industry-leading precision and reliability in a space-saving footprint. Engineered for both reef and freshwater aquariums, it maintains stable water levels by automatically replacing evaporated water, helping prevent salinity swings and ensuring a more consistent and stable aquarium environment.
At the core of the Duetto² is XP Aqua’s proprietary dual-optical sensor system, integrated into a single, miniature housing. The primary sensor handles normal water-level detection and top-off operation, while the secondary sensor serves as a fail-safe to prevent overfilling. This dual-layer design provides redundancy without the bulk of traditional multi-sensor systems, making it one of the most compact and reliable ATO solutions available.
The Duetto 2 incorporates Quick Security Technology (QST), an intelligent safety system that continuously monitors the system for abnormal conditions, such as sensor failure, prolonged pump activity, or unexpected water-level behavior. If an issue is detected, the system immediately shuts down operation and triggers an alert, helping protect aquariums from overflows and equipment damage even when unattended.
Despite its advanced capabilities, the Duetto 2 is designed for effortless setup. There is no programming or calibration required; simply mount the sensor, place the pump, and power on the system. The magnetic sensor mount allows flexible placement on aquariums up to 1/2 inch thick, making installation quick and adaptable to a wide range of setups, including rimless and all-in-one tanks.
The included DC diaphragm pump is engineered for consistent, quiet, and energy-efficient operation. It delivers steady water flow for accurate top-off performance while maintaining strong head pressure for flexible reservoir placement. The system is designed for long-term reliability with low maintenance requirements, making it ideal for daily automated use.
