The AutoAqua RO-DI Flood Guardian is designed to prevent accidental overflows during RO or RO-DI water production. Automatically shutting off water flow when a reservoir is full eliminates the risk of flooding and wasted water from unattended RO systems running beyond capacity.
The RO/DI Flood Guardian uses a dual-optical sensor system paired with an electronic solenoid valve to automatically stop water flow when the target reservoir level is reached. The magnetic sensor design allows quick installation on virtually any container without drilling, making it easy to move between buckets, storage tanks, or mixing stations.
Unlike traditional mechanical float valves, the Flood Guardian relies on electronic control for more precise and reliable operation. Once the optical sensor detects a full reservoir, the controller immediately shuts off the RO solenoid valve, preventing overflow and ensuring consistent fill levels every time.
Designed for flexibility, the system can be installed or removed in seconds thanks to its magnetic mounting system. This makes it ideal for aquarists who frequently switch between multiple water storage containers or need a non-permanent RO/DI safety solution.
The system can optionally be paired with a 1–7 day delay timer, allowing users to schedule periodic refills of RO storage reservoirs. This helps reduce unnecessary cycling of RO systems, minimizing TDS creep and improving overall water efficiency.
Operating on a safe, low-voltage 12V system, the Flood Guardian is designed for safe use around water. The dual-sensor redundancy adds an extra layer of protection in the event of a primary sensor failure, while the system operates reliably even in low-light or completely dark environments.
